Reorderly · Last updated 13 August 2026
Reorderly is a Shopify app that calculates what a merchant needs to reorder, how much, and when, and drafts purchase orders for their suppliers.
The short version
Reorderly does not read, receive, or store any customer personal data. It reads product, inventory, and order quantities — never who bought anything.
What we access from your store
Reorderly requests four read-only permissions and no write permissions. It cannot create, edit, or delete anything in your store.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
read_products | Product and variant names and SKUs, to identify what to reorder |
read_inventory | Stock levels and unit costs, to know what you hold and what it costs |
read_locations | Location names the stock sits at |
read_orders | Units sold per variant over time, to calculate sales velocity |
What we store
- Your shop domain and an access token, so the app can talk to your store.
- Product and variant identifiers, titles, SKUs, stock levels, and unit costs.
- Order line records: an order identifier, a variant identifier, a SKU, a quantity, and a date.
- Supplier records you create: name, optional email address, and lead time.
- A log of sync attempts, for troubleshooting.
What we do not store
Reorderly does not store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping or billing addresses, payment details, or IP addresses. The queries the app sends to Shopify do not request these fields at all.
Order records are kept only as anonymous quantities — “3 units of SKU-1 on 12 August”. Nothing links them to a person.
Supplier email addresses are business contact details you enter yourself. They are used only to prefill an email to that supplier and are never sent anywhere else.
How your data is used
Only to provide the app: calculating sales velocity, days of stock remaining, reorder points, and reorder quantities, and rendering draft purchase orders. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train machine learning models.
Who processes your data
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosts the PostgreSQL database holding the data listed above |
| Vercel | Hosts the application itself |
How long we keep it
- Inventory data is replaced on every sync, so only current stock is retained.
- Order quantity records are deleted automatically once they are older than 90 days. This is enforced on every sync.
- When you uninstall the app, Shopify notifies us and all data associated with your shop is deleted, including suppliers, order records, inventory records, and access tokens.
We also honour Shopify’s mandatory privacy requests:
- Customer data request — we hold no customer personal data, so there is nothing to disclose.
- Customer redaction — we delete the order records identified in the request.
- Shop redaction — we delete all data for that shop.
Your choices
Uninstalling Reorderly from your Shopify admin revokes its access immediately and triggers deletion of your data as described above.
